No. Android does not allow third-party apps to record call audio. Kavach analyses calls using metadata only — the number, timing, and carrier verification signals. No audio is ever captured.
Install Kavach on their phone, add yourself as their guardian, and enable Senior Safe Mode in Settings. You will receive alerts for every suspicious call they receive, every scam SMS detected, and if they have been on a suspicious call for more than 3 minutes.
If you are on the call now — tap the 🆘 button in the Kavach notification. Your guardians will be alerted immediately. After the call — tap "This is a scam" in the notification. Select the script the scammer used. Your anonymous report helps protect other Kavach users in your area.
No. Kavach uses Android's Notification Listener permission to detect when a notification arrives from WhatsApp, Telegram, or other apps. It checks only the source app name — never the content of any message.
Go to Settings → VIP Allowlist → Add number. Numbers on your allowlist always ring through regardless of their fraud score.
